Consignor Policy

Consignments Are Accepted By Appointment Only .

A. Appointment and Item Preparation

  • If for any reason you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible.
  • You may drop your items off prior to your scheduled time in order to keep your appointment.
  • Rejected items must be picked up within 7 days of your appointment or they will be donated, without notice, to a local charity (or disposed of if warranted by the condition).
  • You may bring up to 30 items per appointment. Items should be season appropriate.
  • All clothing must be:
    • Current Fashions, within the past 2 or 3 years.
    • Good brand names only. T&T will not accept K-Mart (Rt 66), Walmart (Faded Glory, Circo), Target (Cherokee, Merona, Xhilaration), or similar inexpensive brands. Please call T&T if you are not sure.
    • Ready-to-sell condition (clean & wrinkle free)
    • Clothing should be folded neatly and placed in a laundry basket, box, or paper shopping bags. NO PLASTIC BAGS- they cause clothes to wrinkle.
    • Items that wrinkle easily can be brought in on hangers. However, this is more time consuming so please limit the number of items on hangers.
  • Toys must be clean and contain all pieces.
    • T&T does not accept games or puzzles that contain a lot of pieces unless they are new with sealed packaging.
  • Battery operated items must have working batteries so we can tell they are in working condition.
  • Electronics must be new or easily tested.

B. Sale Terms

  • All items have a sixty (60) day consignment period, which begins on the day of your appointment when your items are accepted at full selling price.
  • Each consignor is responsible for keeping track of their original appointment date and expiration date. No notice will be given by T&T to pick up unsold items.
  • If you would like to re-claim any unsold items you must do so prior to your expiration date. After sixty (60) days, any remaining items become the property of T&T and may be sold or donated without consideration being paid to consignor.
  • You will receive 50% of the selling price for the sixty (60) day period.
  • Items may be put on sale at any point in order to move inventory.
  • Holiday merchandise goes 50% off the day after the holiday and within a few days it moves to 70% off. The items are only kept in the store for approximately one week after the holiday, regardless of how many days the items have been there.
  • T&T is not responsible for locating any unsold items.
  • T&T is not responsible for any type of damage to or theft of consigned items.

C. Consignment Appointment

  • T&T will assign you an account number that stays with you throughout your relationship with T&T.
  • All consignment activity is accessed using your account number or name.
  • T&T will inspect your items at your consignment appointment. Any items we feel we cannot sell will be returned to you.
  • T&T sets the pricing for the items.
  • If you cannot stay for your appointment and just drop your items off, you have 7 days from your appointment date to pick up the items we don’t take. Again, after 7 days, the rejected items will be donated to a local charity.

D. Reclaiming Consigned Items

  • If you would like to re-claim any unsold items you must do so prior to your expiration date. After sixty (60) days, any remaining items become the property of T&T and may be sold or donated without consideration being paid to consignor.
  • It is the consignor’s responsibility to locate any of their unsold items. Once found the consignor must bring them to the front desk and remove the hangers.  T&T will verify the account number and cut the tags off of each item.
  • If you reclaim items that do not sell please DO NOT bring them back to try and sell them again.
  • It is the consignor’s responsibility to bring their own bags/containers, if necessary, when removing their items.

E.  Consignor Credit/Checks: 

  • Consignor Credit:
    • Any money earned on the sale of your items may be applied to purchase(s) in the store.
  • Checks:
    • Checks are written once a month.
    • Checks must be requested by the third Wednesday of the month. Checks are not automatically written.
    • Your check may be picked up the following Wednesday, or anytime thereafter. NO CHECKS WILL BE MAILED unless a self-addressed, stamped BUSINESS SIZE envelope is provided.
    • If check is lost, stolen, or stale dated, there is a $2.00 service charge to re-issue the check.  (This is separate from a stop payment fee for a lost/stolen check.)
